What is Wave Theory?
Wave Theory is a MIDI plugin that turns the shape of a waveform into melodies you wouldn’t have written yourself. Feed it a wave, pick a key and a scale, and let it loose on any synth you own.
Because it sends MIDI rather than audio, it plays through anything — software or hardware, at negligible CPU. Start from a preset or build a pattern of your own, then swap the wave, sweep through its shapes, or change the timing and length of the sequencers and listen to the line turn into something else.
It is a BangZilla release, developed in collaboration with Boxed Ear. Everything lives on one screen, so ideas arrive as fast as you can save them.
